This compact workshop intends to discuss the importance of designing hybrid business models to take advantage of the ongoing technological, cultural and social changes that are affecting the way we interact, cooperate, learn, have fun and do business.
We’ll present a panoramic view of some tools used today to design business models for the creative industries with an emphasis on how the innovation can emerge from the combination of elements taken from different business models and employing diverse platforms, languages and formats.
Participants will be invited to discuss such questions as:
- what is changing in the content, entertainment and media industries under the impacts of the innovation taking place in the processes of production, diffusion and access to information and knowledge?
- how can we create new business and value creation models that take advantage of the convergence of platforms; the profusion of mobile devices and applications; the massification of the digital culture; the democratization of publishing thanks to blogs, vlogs and other social media channels; the combination of languages and formats; the crowdsourcing and crowdfunding spaces; the new immersive technologies; the Internet of things, the indie revolution and so on?
